What a delightful read. I really do feel that the best thing we can do for each other and ourselves is encourage those around us. I love hyping up my friends, challenging them to believe in themselves as much as I do. In general I see a lot of stuff about the rise of the individual, but we are strong/better/braver together. and no one truly achieves anything alone. I loved reading this!
Gorgeous Nix, love your framing of agency + grace, it's a much fuller picture of how life actually moves. All of your aligned action and devotion to poetry was crucial, and we gotta bring that, but then there's this mysterious grace where life & others respond to our action in totally unpredictable ways & hatch our next level of becoming. And how many opportunities are all around us to be that grace for someone else's becoming, even in the tiniest ways, like a note or a folder on a desk. You bring it to light so beautifully

there is a clear gap in today's mainstream idea-space, as you say, "online discourse makes the world feel...isolated in its expression. Conscientiousness is declining...it’s a deeply lonely world. You are wholly responsible for your rise to success and your worst mistakes."
