I love this, thank you for writing! I find myself hesitant sometimes being someone who trusts my intuition and leaps when called to in a world that seems to prefer staying in one lane. This reminded me there is magic in the leaps.
This reminds me of the "explore vs exploit" phenomenon except that that framing implies that at some point you should shut it down and exploit (I think Cate has some interesting thoughts on this in the book too). I sort of feel like lots of the gains come from refusing to stop exploring or at the very least making sure you're doing both at the same time. Very glad to hear so much positive reinforcement for active innovation and not getting complacent
